The Lynx Lights Up
Sixties Friends Reminisce At The Bar
Saturday night saw a goodly contingent of Museum Friends joined by original Lynx Club members and Sixties music fans to celebrate the only Club from those days still standing. Tying in with our current Exhibition, Good Vibrations, this was the ideal way to pay tribute to an important part of Borehamwood’s history when many a now-famous ‘star’ was learning how to attract a crowd.
Sheila Moss was there for every Sunday show during the Sixties and can still remember dancing along to the band of the night in front of the stage. Here she is in the Post of the time watching Georgie Fame with her friends! And of course Sheila was there Saturday bopping away!
And we got a surprise visit from Sgt Pepper and his LH Band as well – here they are arriving from Abbey Road.
A great night, with requests for a repeat – who knows?
