Welcome to the Elstree & Borehamwood Museum blog.
This blog is about all those happenings inside and outside the Museum that have caught our attention.
From events and exhibitions, to new discoveries in the collections, to news and views.
Any comments and items to go here please contact Simon on info@elstree-museum.org.uk
Things have brightened up in the Museum with lots of new displays and items to take away – for a small price!
As well as the new Museum Clapperboard Key Rings, Shopping Bag and Red Pens that you can see above, we have a new display case by the door. This now shows our small, but beautifully formed, range of 150 St.Pancras memorabilia. Featuring a Mug, Fridge Magnet, Pin and Tote Bag at jolly decent prices compared to that large Station down the line. Grab them now before they become collectors’ items.
We’ve ordered some uniforms for our railway at Families Day, and thought we’d try them out on our visitors! The full bib and braces outfits are due any day now!!

The New Exhibition, All Change!, is off to a flying start! The family in our pictures sum up the enthusiasm of our younger visitors for the station and ‘driving’ the engine. The driver’s cap, we’ve discovered, is the perfect size for a ten year old – now we just need to get a few more for our schools’ visits and for Families Day on June 30th in Meadow Park.
