Half term has brought our younger visitors into the Museum to see how photos used to be produced. Putting on the white coats we provide, they can follow the easy steps to developing and making photographs by moving round the central carousel. Here Derek Allen, our resident expert, explains how it was done before the digital age.

We need your help in creating a future exhibition at the Museum entitled: 'From Village To Town : Celebrating A Century Of Migration'. We would love to hear your stories of how and when you or your families came to settle in this area. Also do you have any information on the following :
· Italian families who worked in the Cambi hat factory ?
· Polish soldiers, stationed in Borehamwood during WW2, who later married local girls and settled in the area ?
· Vietnamese refugees, living in Rossington Avenue in the 1970s ?
If you can help in any way please contact Vania, Community Learning Officer, via the Museum email on info@elstree-museum.org.uk or leave your stories on the Museum's Facebook page (Elstree and Borehamwood Museum).
